About This Image

A very important and classic stereo salt print from paper negatives by Humbert de Molard (occasionally spelt Mollard), a pioneer of French photography whose photographic works are some of the most difficult to find. Any work by this photographer outside of institutions is exceedingly rare. See: Prestige de La Photo, Nov. 1978, "Humbert de Molard (1800-1874)" for more information. IIlustrated on p.86 in Pye, E. Bacot, A. de Brebisson, A. Humbert de Molard: Trois Photographes en Basse-Normandie au XIXe Siecle.

Most U.S. domestic Fed Ex ground shipping (Media Mail for books) is free of charge except for larger and heavier items, or unless the buyer wants express shipping (email us your requests for the latter).
