Signed in crayon on the recto of the mount, and stamped with photographer's information with a note in ink describing the action in the photo. Belzeaux was a French commercial photographer, who was active from the 1940s-1960s. He lived in Fourqueux a small suburb west of Paris. He was known to take portraits and genre images, and worked for the Rapho photo agency. He photographed in France, Ireland and the U.S. His photographs were used to illustrate numerous books (especially from Zodiaque Publishing), including L'art Irlandale; Le Monde de Chartre; Le Mont Saint-Michel: Poeme de Guillaume de Deguileville and Photographies de Pierre Belzeaux; La Vie de la Vierge; and others. He is listed in Auer & Auer's photographers' database.
