It would be hard to imagine a more charming subject than this little Victorian-Era child, posing so patiently with his toy hoop. His starched white collar is well served by the daguerreotype medium; his newly combed hair, his outfit, and expression are refined, priceless. Even the shiny buttons running down the front of the boy's jacket echo the wooden knobs on the chair back behind him—each one reflecting a single glint of light.

Case is lined with red velvet embossed with a floral patterns. Both clasps are intact on leather case exterior.
