About This Image

A fine slightly oversized full-plate ambro of the village high street and church of Biddenden. The street looks half caked with drying mud. All Saints Church , which can be seen in the background, was mainly built in the 1200s, though there was probably an earlier Saxon church here. After the decline in the cloth industry, the village continued its life as a busy agricultural community with a population which never fell below one thousand inhabitants, and was often nearer 1,500. Today it is over 2,500. Several modern industries thrive: British Gates and Timber and Biddenden Vineyards, and the Chart Hills Golf Club hosts international events on its 18-hole course.

Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges.
