Caption as follows:"NEW YORK CITY- Billy Jurges, New York Giants' shortstop blows in the eighth inning of the game at the Polo Grounds here today between the league leading Cincinnati Reds and the Giants, won by the Reds by a score of 8 to 4. Surrounding the combatants are the other two umpires, Lee Ballanfant and Ziggy Sears, and ball players, Joe Moore, Ken O'Dea, Manager Bill Terry, Mel Ott, Zeke Bonura and Lou Chiozza all of the Giants. The argument arose when Harry Craft, Reds' outfielder, hit a home run in the 8th frame with one aboard to give the Cincinnati team a 5 to 4 lead. The Giants claimed the blow, a line drive int o the lower left field seats near the foul pole had gone foul. They lost the argument and saw three of their players banished from the game- Harry Danning, Bill Jurges and Joe Moore.
