The Victorian marvel's second, and more permanent residence at Sydenham Hill is here captured, along with its famous gardens and impressive fountains designed by Joseph Paxton. The improved and augmented structure was preserved on this site until 1939, and this image was taken soon after its relocation in 1854. A clear and impressive vista, with some foxing in the upper quadrant.
