Silvy's larger work is very scarce. On larger card mount, titled in ink with Silvy's stamp in red ink and with printed photographer's credit and pencil annotation of identity of sitters. An excellent print. This plate is one of a series of 12 prints from an album entitled "Orleans House Fete Champetre. Album photographs published for the benefit of the Societe Francaise de Bienfaisance." The group of the Royal Family of Orleans comprises the Duke and Duchess de Chartres, the Princess Clementine de Saxe Cobourg Gotha, the Princess Amelie and the Princes Philippe and Auguste de Saxe Cobourg Gotha, the Duke of Nemours, the Princess Marguerite and Blanche d'Orleans, the Count d'Eu and the Duke d'Alencon, the Duke and Duchess of Montpensier and their daughters the Princess Marie Amelie and the Princess Marie-Christina, Infantas of Spain, and the Duke de Guise.
