Although the photographer dated this print on the verso "1953", it does not pass black light testing. It is clearly early, but more like 1960. The photographer signed, dated, and titled in Czech in pencil on the verso of the print. An interesting abstraction by this important Czech photographer.
Eric Einhorn was born in Czechoslovakia in 1928. He became one of the top Czech photojournalists and documentary photographers in the 1950s-1970s.
He published a monograph in 1958 entitled "Einhorn, Erich: Prager Alltag".
Einhorn's images are in the collections of the George Eastman House and the Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe. Einhorn is listed in the George Eastman House database.
Einhorn died in 2006.
