Four Vintage Gelatin Silver Exhibition Prints

Yogi Berra set a record for 148 errorless games on May 10, 1959 when the Yankees played the Senators in the Stadium. That said, on the day before, the Senators trounced the Yankees 7-0. Pulitzer prize-winning photographer Frank Hurley captures an incredibly human moment in that game, one which the Daily News played up--ironically enough, on May 10th--with a caption alongside that read: "Yogi Makes a Sad Case."

These four photographs were submitted and nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
