Great image of a frozen Niagara Falls probably from the 1880s or 1890s. Note the camera on tripod and photographer's shack set up on the ice floor below. Also note the proximity of the cracks in that ice! Spray rises majestically from the frozen falls, while you can see a smokestack and buildings of an early manufacturing facility in the background at the top of the image.
