Print made in 1940s. Zelma (1906-1984) was a stellar WWII Russian photographer who is known for his documentation of the Battle of Stalingrad. His images appeared in Pravda and Ogonek, as well as other publications.
This print was purchased from a dealer who aquired the print directly from the family of the artist in the late 90s or early 2000s in Russia.
