Signed, dated and location ("h. Le Secq, Strasbourg. 1851") reversed out of the negative in the lower left. A very rare and important print for the Mission Heliographique, although this print was not retained by the MH. Most such prints are in institutions. Very few are in private hands. See: Janis and Sartre, Henri Le Secq Photographie de 1850 a 1860, cat. no.163, p.125. Provenance: probably from the collection of an art history professor; Porta Portese's antique market in Rome; an Italian conservationist.
Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges.
