Book - catalog
Catalog of Ferenc Hopp's photographic collection, published by the Hungarian Photography Museum and the Ferenc Hopp Museum of Eastern Asiatic Arts in Hungary.
Hopp (1833-1919) was a successful manufacturer of optical appliances in Hungary and a photographer who spent most of his time after age 50 traveling the world. He photographed throughout his travels and also acquired photographs. He eventually became a major collector of Oriental art, which he donated so that a museum of Eastern Asiatic arts could be established in Budapest.
The catalog is in Hungarian. Quite unusual to find outside of Eastern Europe.
