A.L. "Whitey" Schafer was a well-known Hollywood studio photographer who made glamour portraits in the style of Hurrell and others.
Ralph Crane (1913-1988) spent his early career as a freelance photographer for The New York Times and the Worldwide Photo Agency. He later contributed to European newspapers and agencies including Camera Press and Black Star. In 1941 he emigrated to the United States and in 1951 he became a staff photgrapher for LIFE Magazine.
