Partial Studio label on Case Lid, the entirety of which would read "Dai-Nippon Okayama-ken Tsuyama Oikai." Dai Nippon: honorific term for Japan; Okayama prefecture, Tsuyama City; district of Okai.
Inscription on case lid reads "Meiji '21, gogatsu jusan-nichi, Oikai nite, Taguchi Shashin-jo, satsue, Magoma kin" Translation: "1888, May 13, at Oikai, photo was taken by Taguchi of Magoma Kin."
