Photographer's signature and date on the verso in pen. Provenance: Art et Industrie Gallery. A native New Yorker, Zeke Berman studied sculpture and photography at the Philadelphia College of Art, graduating in 1973. He utilizes found objects and ordinary materials such as water paper, clay and gelatin to construct delicate, formal arrangements that mirror 17th-century Dutch still life painting. Berman's photographs have been exhibited in major museums worldwide and his work is in the collections of the NY Museum of Modern Art and the NY Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
