Signed in pencil, stamped and with salon application taped to verso. Milos Budik was born on August 24, 1935 in Brno, Czech Republic, and continues to work there. He studied at the FAMU in Prague but interrupted his studies for family reasons and never finished.Budik is a member of AFIAP and a leading figure of modern Czech photography.In the mid-1960s, Miloš Budík co-founded the VOX Group, a major artistic association of the decade, which included Budík, Jan Beran, Antonín Hinšt, Karel Otto Hrubý, So?a Skoupilová, Vladimír Skoupil and Josef Tichý. Together they created exhibitions such as "Variations" or "World Absurdities".His work has appeared in the magazine Czechoslovenska Fotografie. His photographs are in the collections Of the Czech National Museum of Photography and the George Eastman House, and he is included in the GEH database.On his 70th birthday, he and curator Lukas Bartl organized a retrospective on his work entiltled "Interview on Light" at the Brno Art House.
