About This Image
Signed, dated and location ("h. Le Secq, Chartres. 1852") reversed out of the negative in the lower left. A very rare and important print (perhaps only one or two known as a salt print) for Le Secq's early work. Most such prints are in institutions. Very few are in private hands. See: Janis and Sartre, Henri Le Secq Photographie de 1850 a 1860, pl.270, p.137 (the copies there in printed Panotype, not salt prints). Provenance: Family of the photographer, Henri Le Secq.
Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges.
