Béatrice Andrieux
Béatrice Andrieux

AIPAD has turned to Béatrice Andrieux to support exhibitor and sponsor recruitment efforts for the 38th edition of The Photography Show in New York City.

Andrieux will work for AIPAD as a part-time, Artistic Director consultant. In this position, she will serve as AIPAD’s liaison to the European art market and will work closely with staff and the Board of Directors to advance the Association’s strategic goal of establishing a greater international presence.

Prior to partnering with AIPAD, Andrieux was the Director of the 4th edition of the Swiss photography fair Alt. +1000 in 2015. From 2011-2014, she served as Paris Photo’s Artistic Director and was instrumental in planning the ill-fated Paris Photo L.A. at Paramount Studios. She has also collaborated with Zabriskie Gallery (New York, Paris) as well as Galerie du Jour – agnès b. (Paris), where she organized several monographic exhibitions. From 2006-2011 Béatrice was the Editor of IDEAT, Connaissances des Arts Photo and co-authored Contacts Le Corbusier / Lucien Hervé (Éditions du Seuil, 2011).

The Photography Show will be held April 5-8, 2018, again at Pier 94, New York City. More than 100 of the world’s leading fine art photography galleries will present a range of museum-quality work including contemporary, modern, and 19th century photographs, photo-based art, video, and new media. One of the world’s most highly-anticipated annual art fairs, The Photography Show is the longest-running and foremost exhibition dedicated to the photographic medium. The Show will open with a Vernissage on April 4.
