Vintage Works loss is MoPA's gain: Vintage Works' Assistant Director Carol McCusker, after completing her PhD in Photo History from the prestigious University of NM program (set up by Beaumont Newhall and Van Deren Coke), is heading to San Diego, CA to take charge of the Museum of Photographic Art's photography department as Associate Curator. For those of you who don't know, this is the West Coast's answer to the Eastman House, a museum devoted to the photographic arts including photography and film departments in Balboa Park.

Carol left in May. She will be sorely missed.

Maria DiElsi has come on board as Vintage Works' new Assistant Director and worked with Carol to assure a smooth transition. Maria received her Masters degree in Critical History and Theory of Photography from the University of Derby, UK, and a BA in English Lit with a minor in Art History. She has been working as a professor at Drexel University, the Art Institute of Philadelphia and Moore College of Art and Design. She has lectured at the Society of Photographic Educators national and regional conferences. She is also a working photographer.
