Cowan Historical Americana Auction to Sell Cased Images, Civil War Imagery and Western Material Next Week

Cowan's Historic Americana Auctions is holding its Spring Auction Sale on May 8-9 at 12:00 noon EST near Cincinnati, OH at the Sharonville Convention Center. You can preview at the site, which is in Sharonville, from 9 am until the beginning of the sale itself. Or you can see the auction on line at: http://www.historicamericana.com/auction031103-i.htm

There are more than 600 lots in the two-day sale. For photography collectors, the day that counts is the first one, May 8th, when the auction will feature a huge assortment of early photography, including cased images from the collection of Beth and Scott Brasseur, a fine daguerreian town view of Plymouth, Ohio, an important Antebellum image of slavery, and a fine group of large format photographs by Timothy O'Sullivan and William Henry Jackson taken during the Darien, Wheeler, and Hayden Expedition. Civil War imagery is also well represented. Western Americana includes a large group of photographs of American Indians, frontier scouts and military figures.

You can reach Wes Cowen by phone at 1-513-871-1670 and by email at info@historicamericana.com . Phones can still be reserved for the sale and you can bid on line at eBay Live Bid. You can visit the company's website at: http://www.historicamericana.com/index.html .
