Photo LA 2005, the 14th annual Los Angeles Photographic Art Exposition will be held this coming week, January 20-23, 2005 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, 1855 Main St., Santa Monica, CA.

Approximately 84 galleries and private photography dealers and photo book dealers and publishers from across the country and around the globe will participate in the largest and longest running photographic art exhibition in the West.

Two of I Photo Central's members will be exhibiting at the fair. Martin Gordon Gallery will be in Booth 64 and will feature images by Man Ray, Lola Alvarez Bravo, Tina Modotti, Eugene Atget, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Frank Hurley. The gallery will also represent the work of contemporary photographer Ida Wyman.

Vintage Works, Ltd. will be in its normal position at booth 30, but the booth will be even larger this year. Featured contemporary artists will include the striking color night work of Marcus Doyle and new color work by Joel D. Levinson from his series on the nude English Gardens in Munich, Germany. Vintage Works will also display images by Jerry Spagnoli and Mike Robinson, contemporary photographers who utilize the daguerreotype medium. Top vintage material from both 19th-century and 20th-century master photographers will compliment the contemporary work. Photographers, such as Man Ray, Charles Negre, Laure Albin-Guillot, Julia M. Cameron, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Gustave Le Gray, Robert Doisneau, Auguste Salzmann, Southworth & Hawes, the Auradon brothers, Capt. Tripe, Louis De Clerq and many other top masters will be represented in multiple prints at the booth. Ask to also see our additional boxes of some of our newest material.
