The photographers of this album: Shays, Fritz Henle, and Boyart Studios of Salt lake City, Utah document a steel mill plant that went from being a war time steel producing mill for the west coast (as a precaution against steel shortages if there were a pacific coast invasion) to a plant converted to peacetime operations by U.S. Steel at the end of the war. The photographs included in the album illustrate men happily at work in all capacities of steel production. The album also includes wonderful modernist documents of the simple exteriors of the plant set against the faintest hint of the Utah mountains off on the horizon.Please contact the gallery for a quote on shipping and insurance costs.
