Manuel de Aumente (1910-1998) was the only Hispanic member of the Photo League. He spent much of his youth in Texas, worked for the Works Progress Administration in Pittsburgh during the 1930s, and moved to NY in 1945. De Aumente joined the Photo League during the mid-late 1940s and was included in the League exhibition 'New Workers' (1949).
