Comes in original oak frame in good condition with a plaque engraved with the title, photographer credit and "On Line Southern Pacific Company". Has been reglazed with UV acrylic, but the original glass is also still available. Tibbitts' panoramic work has sold for over $35,000 at auction. His studio was based in San Francisco. Tibbitts was known for his photographs of Western landscapes, including a few large panoramas, such as this one of the iconic Mount Shasta. A fair amount of Tibbitts' work is published in "Sunset" magazine. According to the Museum of New Mexico, Photographic Archives, he died in 1937.
