Provenance: the artist's wife's personal collection.Josef Ehm was born August 1, 1909 in Habartov, Czechoslovakia.Along with Jamomir Funke, he was a teacher at the State School of Graphic Art in Prague from 1934 to 1946.In 1935 he participated in preparation of the legendary book "Photography Sees Surface".His artistic photographs are renowned for a unique combination of avant-garde creative methods and technical brilliance. He was a part of the New Objectivity movement. Ehm died in 1989.
