The Daguerreian Society is hosting a new, two-day general photography fair for collectors, curators, galleries and dealers. The fair will offer a broad range of historical photography through cutting edge contemporary photography. The fair will be held during the same weekend as the 2018 New York Photography Show presented by AIPAD. The Daguerreian Society's Spring fair will be held at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, on Saturday, April 7 and Sunday, April 8, 2018.

The Daguerreian Society's event is expected to present over 90 tables and booths of photography, showcasing the offerings of top photo and book dealers.

Nineteenth-, 20th- and 21st- century photographs and books will be offered, including images from the highest levels of the art to vernacular snapshots. Collectible books, historical prints and related material will also be available. In addition, the fair will offer a live collodion studio and workshop to help attendees identify photographic prints, with examples ranging from vintage salt prints to platinum prints.

Revenue from the show will support the Daguerreian Society (http://daguerre.org), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization "dedicated to the history, science, and art of early photography and processes." This Spring the Daguerreian Society returns to New York City, following up on the Society's successful 2016 Conference, Symposium and 19th-Century Photography Show, which presented 104 tables and 14 booths of vintage photography from some of the finest American and international galleries and dealers.

Rates start at $525 per table for Daguerreian Society members ($600 for non-members) for both days. Dealers can select from center, wall and marquee tables and booths. The Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel has excellent lighting to highlight photographs, books and prints. The fair is located in the easily accessible lower- level conference facilities.
