DESCRIPTION:

In 1911 the company name was changed to Lumiere & Jougla, so this image is likely to be made slightly after that date. In "ALumiere & Jougla" cardboard passe-partout with R. Dechavannes, Paris, Depose (registration mark for the passe-partout itself). The pass-partout is 8 x 6-3/8 inches. The Lumiere studio often used these pass-partouts for their work, although not exclusively. However this one also has an additional overlay on the passe-partout the repeats "Autochrome Lumiere". I have never seen this particular overmount and I think it adds credence to this photo being taken by the Lumiere studio. Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges.
